Wedding Locations

Bruce Peninsula National Park and Burnt Point

The picturesque shoreline and geography of Bruce Peninsula National Park and Burnt Point make a perfect location for wedding ceremonies. For more information, contact Parks Canada at 519-596-2233, ext 0.

Flowerpot Island and Cruise Boats

Flowerpot Island is another possibility as a marriage location. While Flowerpot Island cannot be reserved as a whole, a section of the island can be set aside for the wedding ceremony. The island is only accessible by boat. Entire boats can also be rented out for private functions. For more information please contact Parks Canada at 519-596-2233, ext. 0. MS Chi-Cheemaun

The Chi-Cheemaun ferry offers wedding packages which take place aboard the ship. The restaurant on the ship offers catering. For more information, contact the Owen Sound Transporation Company at 519-376-8740.

There are four (4) churches in the town of Tobermory.

Reception Hall

The Tobermory Community Centre is available year-round, to rent for the cost of $210+HST, plus a $200 refundable deposit. Fully Accessible. This price includes:

A n 84ft x 51ft hall (4284 sq.ft.) with a 365 person capacity. Full kitchen facilities. Free parking. Tables and chairs (dark blue). AGCO licensable. See licenses & permits below. Tobermory also has municipal property that can be rented out for outdoor wedding cedremonies, such as the Boardwalk, Cabot Head Lighthouse, Big Tub Lighthouse, Dunks Bay Beach and Singing Sands. Please contact the Municipal Office, 519-793-3522.

The Princess Hotel & Dining Room also offers an elegant area for a wedding reception, 519-596-8282.

Civil Marriage Ceremonies

A civil marriage ceremony can be officiated by the Clerk at the Municipality of Norther Bruce Peninsula or at a location other than in our office. Please contact 519-793-3522 for more information.

Fees:

$250+HST if you wish to get married during business hours at the Municipal Office

$250+HST+mileage if you wish to get married by the Municipal Office Clerk at a location other than the Municipal office during regular business hours

$300+HST outside of regular business hours. This includes fees for the Municipality, solemniser and mileage.

Big Tub Lighthouse - A very beautiful location looking over Georgian Bay and its islands.

Dunks Bay Beach - A breathtaking location on sand beach looking onto a wooded cove of Georgian Bay.

Singing Sands Beach - Have fun on this large sandy beach with lots of shallow water to make your photos unique and playful.

Winter Accommodations may be arranged through the Princess Hotel. Other hotels may make arrangements by request.
